New Years Eve is a night of celebration for most. At Whiskey Basin, that's no exception. We had a tremendous show at the Barn in Sanford, and we truly were overwhelmed that so many of our closest friends came to celebrate with us.
Now, we ask that our friends join us once again, for one of our friends whose New Year was cut tragically short.
We will all miss Shorty, and those of us who knew him from the Rockin' Ranch will always remember him.
Please join us from 11 AM - 3 PM this Sunday, January 9th, at the Barn In Sanford for a Poker Run, which includes fundraising for Keith "Shorty" Roberts. We ask for your support out of love for Shorty and his family.
From 11:30 to 1 PM, Our own Dustin Seymour will be performing at The Barn. Please come and toast to Shorty's honor.
It is never easy to lose a loved one, but it can be said that so many people were touched by the life of Shorty that he will live on in hearts and memories for a very long time. Let's show him his due respect!

Whiskey Basin is going to be writing and working on some new things for 2011. We are sad to inform you that this will be our final show for several months.
We love to play for all of you but we also want to bring you our A-Game when you come to see us. We did it in 2010... and we will again in 2011!

Next weekend will be the great yearly food-a-thon we call, Thanksgiving.
That means that for a lot of us, this will be our last chance this month to spend time with our friends who like to party!!!

WB will perform live on the outside stage at the Airport Restaurant and Gin Mill in their sister city of Deland, Florida. It will be great to see our friends and fans that stay close to home this weekend! Our practice house is only a short drive away from the Airport, so you can bet we'll be coming in with guns blazing, all fired up and ready to kick some ass in our neck of the woods.
It's always fun for us to play in Daytona, Orlando, and other parts we've reached, but of course there is NO PLACE QUITE LIKE HOME!
For those of you who have never been out before, the Airport Bar is an outdoor venue with covering and two separate bars, one inside and one outside by the Main Stage. They serve awesome food inside, especially their burgers which are pretty famous around these parts. The staff couldn't be more friendly and quick and we recommend you come out and try a few of their drinks too - you'll be glad you did.

 Come celebrate the holiday season with us at the Airport Bar in DeLand! We will be playing all your favorite Whiskey Basin songs from 9PM - 1AM!
Also, we are asking (if the budget allows) people to bring an unwrapped gift for a child in the 10-15 age range to help support the Salvation Army.
There are some great emotional highs in life - falling in love, making music together, having great drinks with good friends -- and making someone's Christmas just a little bit brighter by giving them a toy during the Holiday season.
A lot of times these kids are forgotten about at Christmas time, and we all know how important these years are in a young person's life! It is definitely not required... but we would greatly appreciate it, and we're sure the kids would too!

Marcus, we're pretty much floored that we're actually helping someone LEARN to play, just by doing what we love to do! To answer your questions:
- Yes, It's a Takamine (I believe it's a EF341SC Model).
- It is definitely an acoustic-electric.
- Soon, we'll be posting galleries of all our instruments

Our home town never seems to disappoint us! WB Fans were out in full force at Gators Dockside in Deland this Saturday, many in their brand new WB T-Shirts.
We have our favorite songs - everyone does - and now it's time for us to start searching for some brand new stuff to play for everyone. And just like everything we do, we want everyone (including YOU) to be a part of this! Soon we will be redesigning the ENTIRE website here at whiskeybasin.com, and adding a fan poll. This means you'll have a say in what new songs we do, where we play, and how we can make your show experience even better!
We autograph every CD that is sold at our performances, and our appreciation for our fans has never been stronger - it keeps growing thanks to all of your support as we kick off show after show - doin' it Country Style!

Whiskey Basin sure is making an impact in Volusia County! Our latest achievement - winning the Daytona Beach News Journal's Readers Choice Award for Best Local Band 2009 - comes right on the heels of a greatly successful weekend which pulled the guys more tightly together than ever.
Friday started out with a great, absolutely spilling-over-the-brim PACKED show at the Airport Bar in Deland, Florida, where so many of our local fans and friends showed up I was actually amazed! Thanks to everyone who came out that night and partied with us - we hope to see you this weekend at Gators Dockside once again!
Saturday found us out at Gilley's Pub 44 in New Smyrna Beach, where we performed our original songs and some of our fans' favorite covers for the Sheriffs Youth Ranch Benefit Concert. I'd like to take just a second to say thanks to all our new friends who purchased shirts, CDs and merchandise from us at this show - 50% of what you spent went straight to the kids, and thanks to all of you,
WHISKEY BASIN WAS ABLE TO DONATE $200.00 TO THE CAUSE!
